As a member of the analytical group, the successful candidate will collaborate on a diverse set of technical problems to provide analytical support to Solenis R&D, manufacturing plants, customers and regulatory efforts. The qualified candidate should possess an advanced degree in chemistry and/or the requisite experience with expertise in GC, GC/MS, HPLC and LC/MS. The position requires the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
PhD with 2+ years or MS or BS with 5+ years relevant experience. Relevant analytical experience in paper additives and/or colorants will be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
Technical expert in chromatography and mass spectrometric analyses with extensive experience in method development, method validation, method troubleshooting and sample preparation techniques.
Experience with troubleshooting and repair of chromatographic instrumentation.
The ability to provide technical leadership in the evaluation of new analytical technologies toward improving qualitative and quantitative efficiencies.
Familiarity with paper additives, paper colorants, chemical production processes, product quality and experience in the implementation of QC analytical methodology is a definite plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
