Job Description
Owen Steel Company, located in Wilmington, DE is seeking a 'WELDERS / FITTERS'.
Primary duties of Fitters are to plan, sequence, lay out and fit accurately and efficiently in all varieties of complex structural fittings. Be able to read and analyze structural detail drawings and should possess a thorough knowledge of quality control procedures.
Welders will perform routine welding duties. Must be capable of productive, acceptable quality welding in Flux Core and Sub-Arc. Must be capable of selecting proper rods, wire, flux, feed, pressure volts and amps involving understanding deposition rate and other basic welding concepts. Must be able to perform arc gouging competently and be able to read weld symbols on drawings and blue prints.
