ChristianaCare is looking for a full-time OR Inventory Assistant to distribute supplies to support the operating rooms and ancillary locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Fill case bins/carts using preference lists
Responds to trauma calls. Class IIs, and Add-on cases and builds case bin /carts
Uses appropriate software applications to generate O.R. Preference Lists to build case bins / carts
Delivers case bins / carts and surgical supplies to the O. R. and SPD as needed
Runs Materials Management Information software including supply tracking to reference products and scan the receipts of product
Restocks and rotates, stock and non-stock supplies, while checking for damaged and expired products
Informs the inventory clerk or inventory coordinator of any supply shortages or usage increases
Inventories and replenishes assigned stock and non-stock par locations in soft goods, O.R., and ancillary locations
Evening shift 3pm- 11:30pm (includes working every 4th weekend and holiday)
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School graduate
Minimum three years of relevant work experience in material / inventory management and distribution.
Fast paced, active, and customer orientated environment. Possible exposure to radiation, anesthesia agents, and other hazardous gases and chemicals
Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs. of supplies.
Ability to push a cart with a maximum of 250 lbs. of stock supplies.
