The Systems Analyst works within a team to implement, maintain, and support information systems to meet the business or technical needs of the organization. This includes working with key stakeholders in solving operation problems through analyzing workflows, gathering requirements, defining alternatives, recommending a solution, and implementing the solution.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the support, configuration, upgrade, maintenance, and implementation of multiple existing business and clinical applications within the Christiana Care Health System.

Understanding assigned applications and utilizing knowledge of business area(s) applications to identify opportunities to improve application and/or process(es).
Using applications tool sets configures applications based on system designs and business requirements.
Works with the customers, cross-functional internal IT team, and vendors to troubleshoot application issues to resolution.
Will participate in 24/7 on-call rotation as part of a team supporting various applications.
Responsible for engaging in the evaluation and testing of new technologies with an emphasis on
interoperability, configuration, and business needs.
Develop and document system design specifics in a "Solution-in-Detail" to assure understanding and to gain agreement by the user of specific system inputs, outputs, and costs.
Develop, lead, and execute on various business analysis, workflow documentation and requirement gathering efforts.
Define and coordinate the execute of testing procedures and develop test cases\scripts for various applications upgrades or implementations.
Responsible for Integration mapping and testing of data integrations between various applications.
Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols.
Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed.
Manage the set-up and configuration of systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
Healthcare IT experience is preferred but not required.
Applications experience in either application support or implementation role of third-party applications is preferred but not required.
BA/BS in Computer Science or related field is preferable. Equivalent combination of experience, education and training will be considered.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to clearly define a problem, recommend creative solutions implement changes, and document solutions in a dynamic team environment.
Demonstrated ability to relate technology to the customer so that they are comfortable with using it and perceive value in the service provided.
Experienced in documenting current and future business requirements and workflows.
Experienced in developing, documenting, and executing test scripts preferred.
Experience performing system and data analysis and technical tasks in medium to complex projects.
Understanding of and ability to troubleshoot interfaces and\or SQL experiences are a plus but not required.
Up-to-date knowledge of computers, networks, and other information technology tools.
Demonstrated familiarity in the operations and management of windows-based servers (i.e. specific to troubleshooting, and applications) is required.
Knowledge of basic hardware configurations, web applications, mobile Applications, database management tools, and query language.
Ability to troubleshoot, identify the root cause and solve challenging technical problems while at all times trying to reduce impact on the customer.
Ability to interact with all levels of healthcare personnel including IT management staff, Healthcare system staff, clinicians Healthcare leadership, etc. via written and/or verbal means.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
Working knowledge of administrative systems and software applications including MS Office Suite, MS Project, and MS Visio.
