Job Description

The Services R&D Director of Digital Software Development function is a key enabler for overall business success. The primary accountability is to lead the research and development of digital services and laboratory management software solutions. A key responsibility is to acquire and manage effective technical teams and then lead them to execute on solution roadmaps created by the group business teams while influencing our partners around the organization

Principle Duties/Responsibilities:
Create R&D resource plans and manage those resources for ACG Services software projects.
Coordinate and collaborate with other internal organizations, functions, and customers as needed
Work with ACG marketing teams for insight on future customer needs
Build plans to optimize design and development process development for quality and efficiency
Manage the identification and development of key SW technology projects with architectural team
Engage in IT partnerships on common architectures and designs
Lead other key business projects to meet overall project objectives and goals
Track key project expenses to ensure desired financial outcomes are achieved
Provide counsel to executive and senior managers to achieve optimal results
Coordinate appropriate M&A activity

Requirements:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
6-8 years Project or Program Management experience in software development
Experience in running agile SW projects and knowledge of SaaS and cloud technologies
Familiarity with AWS cloud offerings and industry best practices for data storage and analytics.
Ability to evaluate suitability of 3rd party solutions to design problems and assess cost vs. development effort.
Proven ability to assess complex business problems and convert into solutions
Proven track record on meeting overall project goals
Strong analytical skills
Understanding of analytical laboratories and their overall business model
Demonstrate customer orientation and sense of urgency to all deliverables
Ability to communicate effectively across different levels of management & geographies
