VP/MP – Key Accounts-North America

The role of Managing Partner/ Vice President is to serve as a key member and business leader on the company’s current client go-to-market team. They will be a member of the Account Management Leadership team. This individual will be responsible for launching, and leading Alight’s sales efforts focused on a portion of our key accounts.


Specifically, he/she will own the following responsibilities:

+ Instill a strong point of view around go-to-market best practices, build a scalable infrastructure and bring decision-making processes to the key accounts sales organization that are based on data and metrics.

+ A strategic business partner to the EVP and SVPs of Accounts to help shape and grow a sales team of 8 people that will aggressively drive expansion and growth within an installed base of Key accounts (Fortune 1000)

+ Focus on a group of key accounts with existing revenue between 1 – 2.5M in ARR and lead a team of key account executives who will focus on this portion of the market.

+ Own the forecasting for this group of accounts and provide updates to the EVP of Accounts who will maintain overall ownership of forecasting for all of client management. Weekly cadence.

+ Execute a focused sales strategy utilizing direct sales, strategic broker channel partnerships and Human Resources Management Systems (“HRMS”) platform partnerships to continue expansion in the middle market and enterprise segments.

+ Develop short and long term market strategies and forecasts through market analysis and interpretation of data

+ Expand efforts to capture business development and strategic partnership opportunities to accelerate growth, leveraging multi­channel distribution.

+ Recruit, inspire, lead, mentor, and motivate a high performing sales team. Bring new talent into the business and reinforce the existing culture, where the right people want to stay.

+ Streamline the end-to-end customer journey and develop clear alignment and seamless handoffs across the organization to ensure the Alight buying experience enhances the brand.

To be effective in this role, the Vice President of Accounts will specifically have the following key pivotal experiences and expertise:

Knowledge and Experience

+ Commercial Leadership – Proven commercial leadership in a growing services and/or software business with responsibility for $160M in revenue and a specific focus on both driving net new sales and expanding existing accounts.

+ HR Solution Selling – Known as an expert in HR solution selling with the ability to navigate and close deals

+ Strategic Account Management – Track record of building account relationships and driving growth and expansion across an existing client base.

+ Cross-functional Collaboration – Ability to drive cohesion and collaboration across multiple functions; aligning sales, services, success and product organizations on a unified go-to-market strategy.

+ 15+ years professional sales experience or 10+ years in either Benefits or Payroll firm experience are required

+ Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced Degree is preferred and/or equivalent work-related experience and success.

+ Exhibits organizational agility, where working with and relying on others is a matter of daily life.

+ Understands the balance between tactical and strategic – delivering very aggressive monthly and quarterly targets is the norm, yet only by looking out 3-5 quarters and positioning the field appropriately will ensure sustained growth.

+ Uses analytics to make sound data driven decisions.

+ Travel up to 40% will be required
