Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, organize and implement sustainable staffing strategy
Investigate company's staffing needs and take actions to staff accordingly
Work with recruiting agencies when needed
Identify hard to fill roles and take proactive actions
Assist in candidate screening and interviewing
Assist in new employee onboarding
Evaluate new staff
Assist with new employee orientation
Design and plan work shifts schedules
Provide assistance with payroll procedures and activities
Cancels or reduces staff, if necessary, based on business rules and policy.
Collaborates with unit managers, schedulers, nursing coordinators and Central Staffing Office manager, and reviews core staff schedule to identify gaps in staffing.
Analyzes metrics to identify, plan and implement opportunities to improve schedule balancing, identifying recurring gaps and inconsistencies in core staffing during next schedule period.
Effectively communicates with all levels of the nursing department and other departments, utilizing both written and verbal communication skills.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School graduate equivalent required. Associate Degree preferred.
3-5 years' experience in a call center, administration work or similar role
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
General Information Systems information.
Ability to utilize a computer and software.
Ability to work well under pressure
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
Call Center experience a plus
