We are currently seeking a full-time Service Assistant III - Tram Driver toexchange soiled and clean textiles carts between units and the Textiles department.
The hours for this position are 11:00pm-7:30am, includes working every other weekend and rotating holidays.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates understanding and executes CCHS Core Values - Excellence and Love in each task.
Demonstrates patient/customer "comes first" attitude. Greets patients, visitors, customers, and co-workers with a smile and pleasant manner. Displays good customer service skills at all times.
Identifies and selects carts for delivery by designated location while following the established safety guidelines.
Operates tram in safe manner according to training. Secures safety pins to couple trucks.
Maintains the integrity of the tram equipment.
Fills out a safety tram cart checklist at the start of each shift.
Reports any maintenance problem or damages to supervisor.
Wears safety helmet.
Uses extreme caution when moving trucks through patient care areas.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other related duties as required.
SCOPE, PURPOSE, AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS:
Frequent contacts with nursing, patients, visitors, and Textiles staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduation, its equivalent, or Department of Defense Certificate of Release showing discharge in good standing
Six months tram/forklift experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to exercise judgement and tact.
Ability to manage stress in a highly visible service organization.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with co-workers and other departments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must pass physical examination: drug-free; able to hear, able to see, able to speak, able to ambulate. See attached Physical Demands Checklist
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to dangerous pieces of equipment. Exposure to soiled laundry bags and linen.
