Job Title: Police Clerk II
Salary range: $16.04 Per Hour

There’s never been a better time to explore a future with the City of Dover. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Police Department as a Police Clerk II. The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide clerical support for the Records Unit.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform a number of complex clerical tasks involving all facets of data entry and record processing for a large municipal police agency
- Responsible for payroll entry for the department
- Provide assistance to the general public via telephone and in person
- Maintain files, process accident reports and fine payments
- Research and process insurance requests for accident information and reports
- Provide reports and information to police personnel for court and balance a cash drawer
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED with one (1) year of college or specialized vocational training in computer operations
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel software programs
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year related experience with DELJIS certification and prior civilian law enforcement experience
