Job Description

The Risk Strategy Execution and Control Associate supports the change management lifecycle for Acquisition strategy initiatives, including initiating and managing strategy changes through intake submission, governance processes, and pre / post implementation validations while ensuring all control points of the change management lifecycle are satisfied. In addition you will research exception monitoring controls to drive improvements in the end-to-end Customer experience and strengthen controls around credit decisions and regulatory adherence.

You will participate in projects to ensure milestone adherence and integrity of progress metrics. This includes request submission, prioritization, control development and addressing operational readiness needs for new initiatives across the Consumer Card Risk Strategies groups. Initiatives can be inclusive of strategy updates, resolving system or strategies issues and process and control improvements.

We will provide you opportunities to report on findings and to provide status updates to management. Additionally, we will provide you opportunities to coordinate information and responses related to Audit, both internal and external, as well other review oriented internal groups such as Controls Testing and Executive Office.

Roles & Responsibilities

+ Research control reports to identify potential exceptions or process opportunities

+ Analyze exceptions from control reports to determine root cause and drive solutions

+ Manage critical issues using escalation protocols to resolve issues

+ Partner with strategy owners to ensure compliance with change management standards and documentation requirements

+ Intake process

+ Strategy documentation updates

+ Governance package adherence

+ Collection and storage of correction evidence

+ Review high line credit card loans and provide decision recommendations to Sr. Risk leaders

+ Package results and findings to be presented in monthly business updates

Preferred Skills

+ Bachelor’s degree required

+ Minimum 2 years’ experience in the credit card industry, preferably in Credit Risk, Operations and/or Lending

+ Ability to work independently and operate with a high sense of urgency

+ Strong problem solving and organization skills

+ Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment, demonstrates a positive can – do attitude

+ Strong PC skills including PowerPoint and Excel

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, including thorough documentation that ensures we are in an audit ready state at all times and aligned with controls, legal obligations, and regulatory requirements.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with geographically distributed teams
