Incyte Dermatology and our Inflammation and Autoimmunity group (IAI) enjoys a robust discovery and development pipeline. Our IAI group is looking for a motivated translational scientist. The successful candidate will enable program translational efforts by supporting the implementation of clinically viable and impactful translational science strategies. A passion for applying state of the art technologies and deep scientific insights to develop high quality therapeutics is a key requirement for the role. An ability to work well with others in a matrix environment is critical.
Integrate knowledge of immunology and inflammatory disease mechanisms to develop hypotheses and identify novel ways to test them
Responsible for integrating strategic plans, results and operational processes on multiple programs, as needed
Represent the Translational Sciences department by providing scientific expertise, strategic direction and leadership to discovery partners and academic experts.
Collaborate with Discovery and Clinical colleagues to facilitate translational goals for early IAI programs
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency):
Outstanding scientific background in immunology, cell biology or similar discipline (PhD with 5-10 years post-graduate experience; or equivalent);
Experience in pharma or biotech industry with proven track record of success in delivering results, advancing programs
Proficiency with data analysis, especially understanding multi-omics data sets and integrating different types of a data into a comprehensive interpretation
Understanding of biomarker classifications and different levels of assay validation expected by regulators for each purpose
Ability to balance execution of multiple tasks to accomplish program goals
Motivated team player, able to perform with a high degree of independence
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Creative, highly innovative scientist with a passion for delivering quality medicines to patients
An interest in working in and creating an environment of scientific curiosity and open exchange of ideas.
