Discipline: Pre-Sales Application Scientist (GCMS)
Responsibilities will include:
Work closely with account managers to define customer requirements, demonstrate Agilent solutions, and win qualified opportunities.
Collaborate and consult with customers to develop effective strategies for achieving their analytical and business goals.
Share your expertise in separations/chromatography to optimize customer workflows. Workflow solutions can integrate several analytical technologies such as automation, gas chromatography, chemistries, columns, mass spectrometry and software for data acquisition and analysis.
Help customers translate data into insights in order to demonstrate the capabilities and value of Agilent-s workflow solutions.
Demonstrate integrated workflow solutions to customers during the sales process, by running cutting edge analyses in Agilent Centers of Excellence or in customer laboratories.
Share demo results and scientific knowledge with a global network of peers to accelerate the success of your extended team.
Provide input to several product line teams to influence future products, application development, and troubleshooting insights.
Develop and deliver technical promotional presentations at conferences, workshops, and customer events.
May also contribute to post-sales activities.
Promote Agilent's products and aiding in the training of sales force and providing feedback to product line division on new products prior to release.
Bachelors, Masters or other University degree in Analytical Chemistry or other related fieldhighly preferred; may consider applicants with equivalent combination of training, educationand relevant work experience.
Higher degree such as a Ph.D. is strongly preferred.
2- years of experience with a broad range of GCMS instrumentation and applications isrequired.
Experience in tandem and high resolution mass spectrometric techniques is preferred.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Ability to work well with all levels of staff, internal and external customers, and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to think outside the box, understand customer demands, and develop solutions for complex challenges.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
Strong project management and time management skills.
Available for a flexible work schedule and up to 50% business travel across Canada and the United States.
