Position Overview:

The Retirement Management and Solutions team is seeking a highly effective Product Owner to develop and execute on the Retirement Solutions product vision, strategy and roadmap. The candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop requirements and success metrics for retirement products and lead the development of new features through the entire product life cycle. In this role, the candidate will drive the realization of retirement products and services that transform the client and advisor experience.

The ideal candidate has experience in product delivery across multiple workstreams with varying timelines, priorities and complexities, ultimately launching new / enhanced product to market and managing multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate should also have experience in building strategic relationships with core stakeholders, and have a strong passion for digital, wealth management, product development, and emerging technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

+ Understand client and advisor needs. Build a deep understanding of the retirement business opportunity, applicable regulations, and competitive landscape to inform which initiatives and features to pursue.

+ Participate in user research to uncover customer and advisor needs and uses personas to inform feature definition so that it is relevant and useful.

+ Define strategy, operating model, and roadmap to achieve vision and business goals for critical advisor facing retirement applications. Own and drive a product roadmap to meet business goals and regulatory requirements.

+ Partner with developers and UX designers to deliver intuitive, differentiated user experiences and validate design through user testing.

+ Lead the product development lifecycle by documenting requirements, ensuring sprint inputs (e.g., design and requirements) and outputs (e.g., tested code) are as envisioned, and providing direction and trade off decisions for the scrum team.

+ Collaborate with other product and requirement owners and designers to deliver end-to-end product and experience. Partner with Technology to triage issues end to end until full resolution is achieved. Communicate issue resolution to appropriate parties and escalate issue as necessary to ensure proper response.

+ Embody true “customer-obsession” in identifying and leveraging user data, industry trends and varying forms of customer and advisor feedback to shape design and roadmap.

Qualifications:

+ 6 years of experience in financial services, preferably with experience in product management, product development, wealth management, financial planning, online investing, or a closely related business

+ Experience managing product delivery across multiple work streams with varying timelines, priorities and complexities, ultimately launching new / enhanced product to market

+ Strong understanding of different technological development methodologies and design techniques with ability to successfully lead regardless of approach.

+ Demonstrable experience authoring business requirements, defining user stories and execution, including bringing together cross-functional teams within an Agile development framework

+ Experience in defining and building out a product roadmap, prioritizing projects according to business need and producing business models

+ Ability to manage multiple, fast-paced projects under tight timelines and fluid priorities

+ Exceptional communication skills; must be a team player and be able to collaborate effectively across all levels

+ Ability to influence stakeholders with diverse points of view and drive decision making to ensure milestones are met

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Digital, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics
