The TA Research and Development Organization provides globally recognized scientific leadership through specialty measurements in the field of materials sciences. We use that understanding to direct the development of innovative products and solutions to be workflow based, enabling our customers to solve critical analytical challenges, advance scientific understanding and improve product performance.

TA is looking for a system test engineer to assist in developing and testing our mechanical analyzers. This is a great opportunity to have a meaningful impact in the field of material science.

Responsibilities

+ This job requires performing variety of routine lab activities, providing QC support for testing on new products which are in various stages of prototyping and development.

+ Work closely with a cross functional engineering team while developing and supporting the testing of product features throughout the entire development cycle.

+ Test and evaluate new products (both hardware and software) during and at the end of the development cycle.

+ Support new product development projects internal and external to TA.

+ Generate customer facing technical documents as required to support theory and operation of new products.

+ Key contributor to the development of analytical instruments to dvelop tesing plans and strategies to achieve peak performance and/or make critical design decisions

Education:

+ You have a Bachelors Degree (preferably in a science related subject or in engineering)

Experience:

+ BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related studies

+ 3+ years of research, analytical, or industrial laboratory experience preferred

+ Experience working in complex, multidisciplinary, fast moving project teams is preferred

+ Proven track record of teamwork and problem solving.

+ Attention to detail, quality & compliance requirements.

+ Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to influence team members and co-workers without formal reporting authority.

+ Background in material science desirable
