Job Description

Chase is looking for a Product Owner to be part of Digital Account Opening and Activation Team, supporting our Customer Onboarding area product group. The vision of this team is to enhance the account opening customer experience while mitigating risks associated with fraudulent activity.

This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing environment, where creativity, collaboration, and strategic thinking are business as usual. The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator, problem solver, results focused, detail oriented, and process disciplined. The position will offer an opportunity to:

+ Own initiative through end-to-end product development lifecycle (ideation, implementation, maintenance, release and support)

+ Acquire strong product and customer knowledge of area product group and understands dependencies

+ Define and drive delivery of value-added business requirements

+ Partner with PO/APO and team members to conduct research and analysis that translates into defining an initiative, authoring/writing of epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization of stories and grooming/maintenance of a healthy backlog

+ Facilitate requirements discussions and document, analyze and translate functional and non-functional requirements, diagrams, buildable functions/features and other deliverables as needed as an outcome of product strategy (e.g., customer, operational, organizational, etc.) •

+ Drive product decisions with stakeholders through collaborative ideation built on data and analytics

+ Perform in depth analysis for fact finding on existing behavior of the system (including business logic and end-to-end data flow) and educating stakeholders to help ensure the build of comprehensive, robust requirements.

+ Assist in story refinement that will enable code to be written and tested without defects or requirements gaps; write acceptance criteria and generate test scripts.

+ Partner with content team for content management for final content readiness.

+ Maintain JIRA hygiene and accompanying Confluence documentation – including maintaining a living evergreen repository so we always have an understanding of our current state.

+ Manage product backlog along with Product Owners – including having 2 sprints backlog refined and partnering with Scrum Master on sequencing

+ Build relationships with ‘co-supplier’ stakeholders from multi-geographical regions and products areas.


+ 7+ years of product owner/analyst or relevant experience as well as record of individual technical achievement

+ BA or BS in applicable field of study

+ Experience with agile product development and software delivery lifecycle

+ Expertise in business requirements writing and communication

+ Experience with API-based designs, microservices, web services

+ Effective communicator with excellent written communication skills

+ Proven track record of delivery and new product feature creation

+ Ability to prioritize projects and efforts according to business need and industry trends

+ Familiarity with the business services and offerings associated with Chase

+ Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions

+ Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines and calmness under pressure

+ Commitment and self-motivation suitable to a start-up team

+ Quick learner with strong attention to detail who has a strong work ethic, professional maturity, personal integrity and polished interpersonal skills
