Job Responsibilities
Our manufacturing facility, located in Newport, DE, is searching for a Maintenance Technician. This Technician will be working within our Maintenance Department and report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing emergency, planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance for all assets at the Newport facility.Military veterans are welcomed!
Duties and Responsibilities
Execute corrective and preventative maintenance work orders (emergency and planned) in a safe and efficient manner
Calibrate gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that equipment operation conforms to production or process standards
Perform assigned component rebuilds and calibrations
Provide technical interface with contractors
Execute installation and/or modification/repair of chemical/mechanical/electrical processing equipment
Repair and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment associated with all processing equipment and other facility equipment
Recommend PM intervals based on repair data
Recommend spare parts inventory levels
Write Purchase Requisitions for needed parts
Effectively follow the process flow within chemical processing equipment
Follow specifications, job orders, work instructions, recipes and procedures to repair, install according to our ISO 9001:2015 quality system
Document repair status in maintenance work management system
Review and update Work Instructions as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Successfully complete all assigned training
Assist in promoting safety and organization in the maintenance dept.
Assure proper disposal of waste materials
Become fully trained and follow all safety procedures for the operation and use of equipment
Participate in Company safety programs
Participate/contribute in Continuous Improvement programs
Comply with all Company policies including safety, operating procedures, quality, attendance and proper on the job conduct
Qualifications
Required
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
3+ years Industrial Maintenance experience, preferably in chemical industry
Experience in maintenance and repair of both building systems and manufacturing equipment
Able to read and construct from a P&ID or Engineering drawing
Basic electronic, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills
Tube bending skills
Basic Computer Knowledge
Self starter who can manage workloads with minimum supervision
Knowledge of electrical repair and maintenance
Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair
Machine shop experience
Metal fabrication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred
Certified electrician
Associates degree in Engineering Technology
PLC and VFD Troubleshooting
Instrumentation Installation, Setup, Calibration
