Job Summary (Primary function)
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Director is responsible for the development of HEOR and real-world evidence (RWE) strategy and implementation of HEOR projects for the Inflammation and Autoimmunty (IAI) team with focus on vitiligo, in conjunction with the US Medical Affairs strategic lead. The scientific roles of this position will also require hands-on participation in projects.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
Develop HEOR and real-world evidence strategy to complement the clinical program in vitiligo.
Implement projects to generate evidence to support Incyte products with focus on dermatology/vitiligo.
Lead and manage HEOR projects in US Medical Affairs collaborating with the cross-functional IAI team.
Provide scientific support for protocol development, data collection strategies, literature review and evidence synthesis, oversight to health economic model development, and manuscript development in conjunction with market access.
Develop scientific outputs and effectively present findings internally to cross-functional teams, and externally to scientific audiences
As needed, the director will oversee/direct junior staff and engage them in various aspects of the project including development of study synopsis and protocol, development of data collection strategies, literature review and evidence synthesis, development of health economic model, and manuscript development.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
Postgraduate degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD preferred) in epidemiology, data science, health services research, or a health science-related discipline is required.
At least 10 years of work experience.
Previous pharmaceutical industry or health care-related research experience is strongly preferred.
Experience working in dermatology, inflammation and autoimmunity therapeutic areas and products in the biotech industry setting is highly preferred.
Experience with new product launch, preferably in dermatology and autoimmunity is desirable.
Experience in vitiligo and atopic dermatitis is a plus.
Experience in the development and execution of HEOR projects and ability to work in a matrix team environment and drawing consensus from cross functional team members is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of Health Economics and Payer environment is preferred.
Experience in strategy development as it relates to clinical development and post-approval product support.
Deep understanding of HEOR concepts including study design and analysis.
Strong project management and coordination skills.
Previous work experience in research settings.
Previous experience with conducting literature searches and literature reviews.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
Effective organizational skills with the ability of having attention to detail.
