Job Description

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Data Management role in Newark, Delaware.

Job Duties:

Analyze and coordinate the schedule, timeline, metrics, prioritization, and business case of data projects. Partner with strategy and solution owners, and serve as a point of contact for the client/customer. Partner with senior stakeholders and Finance & T/CIO CDO leadership team to perform data quality remediation, data quality management reporting, data lake governance, and to support data requirements. Responsible for partnering to clarify Data Requirements with stakeholders and driving coordination of fit-for-purpose data through partnering with capital consumers and corporate infrastructure project teams to implement end state solution. Drive communication with stakeholders and data consumers to ensure root cause issues are clearly understood and documented. Perform Data Quality Remediation by facilitating resolution and oversight of the book of data quality issues and data sourcing gaps, managing linkage to adjustments, demand, technology Jiras, CIB Tech Investment Proposals, and relevant metrics. Perform Data Quality Management Reporting by owning commentary for all relevant data quality metrics and remediation roadmaps to senior stakeholders and relevant forums and supporting CDO leadership team in preparing for Finance & T/CIO forums to communicate status of work, drive framing and rollout of CDO strategy, and advise on overall data health. Perform Data Lake Governance by representing CDO in data model governance process for Everest Data Lake supporting Capital data sourcing and consumer onboarding. Partner with Information Architects on data model approvals. Support Internal / External exams and audits of capital data management processes, including follow-up on actions on any identified issues. Use Agile project management framework and tools (including Jira, Confluence, etc.) to lead initiatives, track progress, share procedures, and assign ownership. Develop and improve the operating model of Capital CDO and the broader team, streamlining the processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk. Perform other ad hoc requests as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Project Management, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or seven (7) years of experience in Project/Program Management, Business Management, Financial Control, Corporate Finance, Capital, GSIB, Credit Risk, or related occupation.

Skill Requirements: 

This position requires seven (7) years of experience with financial services. This position requires three (3) years of experience with project management or capital management. This position requires experience with the following skills: finance, treasury, capital, GSIB, or credit risk; financial infrastructure and systems; database languages (such as SQL, JQL, or equivalent); ETL tools (such as Power Query, Alteryx, Tableau, or equivalent); Jira; Confluence; Microsoft Excel; SharePoint; Agile Scrum development and the software development life cycle (SDLC); and business analysis, requirements gathering, and requirements documentation processes. The required skills can be gained via graduate-level coursework, research, teaching, or internship experience.
