Principle Associate - Business Continuity/Resiliency Management
As a Principal Associate in Capital One's Retail Banking & Premium Products & Strategy Risk Office, you will apply your analytical and delivery skills to our highest profile Risk Management projects. You will partner across two divisions, Emerging Businesses and Premium Products, to develop and support cutting-edge Risk solutions in a manner that supports innovation and protects our customers, shareholders, and associates. You will partner with peers and senior leaders, second and third lines of defense, as well as lines of business to drive organizational change in order to better manage the Company's risk in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded.
Retail Banking & Premium Products & Strategy Risk professionals are experienced, well-trained, and progressive individuals that operate within a highly collaborative team environment to deliver value-added risk services to our business partners. The Principal Associate candidate will be a highly-motivated Risk Management professional with excellent support, analytical, planning, collaboration, and communication skills. This role will support the Emerging Businesses and Premium Products line of businesses in developing and maintaining robust business continuity plans, strategies and recovery tasks.
This role supports the Retail Banking & Premium Products & Strategy horizontal program governance for Business Continuity Management. Specifically, this role will:
Provide guidance, expertise and support for Business Continuity Management and Resiliency efforts
Support all areas of Business Continuity to ensure resilient strategies are in place and adequately tested (workplace and workforce strategic testing, third party application and service provider testing, third party functionality testing, and Technology testing oversight)
Assist with identification, tracking and mitigation of all aspects of Business Continuity/ Resiliency Management including controls, risks and issues
Partner with other Line of Business Risk offices, 2nd Line Risk Management functions and other appropriate stakeholders and partners
Assist with development, delivery, and support of data analytics regarding Retail Banking & Premium Products & Strategy risk management practices, outcomes and trends
Provide Audit and Exam management support
Execute and help mature the risk service model that meets Enterprise Business Continuity Standard and Policy
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 2 years of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, OR Project Management experience
At least one year of experience using Google Suite of products (Slides, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Forms, Sites)
3+ years of Risk Management or compensatory experience
ABCP or CBCP Certification from DRI or other BC/DR Accredited program
3+ years operating in a cross functional capacity and/or managing complex initiatives
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem solving and influencing skills
