We are seeking a n Associate Investigator to join our growing Teflon™ coatings team in the Chemours Discovery Hub in Newark, Delaware! This position will support the development of our global product lines and report directly to the global technology manager . As an Associate Investigator, you will:

+ Plan and conduct in collaboration with experienced scientists the development of new/modified coating products and applications from ideation to commercialization .

+ Carry out performance tests of new and existing formulations according to internal or customer procedures and prepare reports to share the data internally and externally.

+ Technical support for the development of new/modified products and applications, by testing, evaluating and processing at the request of, and with guidance from, chemists and engineers

+ Collaborate with customers to discover unmet needs for specific industrial coatings applications, match requirements with product offerings and support the engagements through the technical development.

+ Work across a multi-functional global team to lead and prioritize project activities to ensure high quality and on time execution.

+ Provide product trainings, technical support and market insights to customers, distributors, sales and marketing teams.

+ Follow all laboratory quality and safety standards and demonstrate commitment to continuous safety improvement and model good safety behaviors.

+ Maintain assigned equipment and ensure lab capabilities are aligned with future market trends.

The following is required for this role:

+ Bachelors degree in coatings, polymer science, physics, chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or a related field.

+ Experience with coating raw materials, formulation, application and testing.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

+ Works independently and precisely

+ Contributes to positive team environment

+ Ability to keep accurate records of experimental trials and customer interactions.
