What You'll Do

Lead teams to accomplish strategic program/project objectives by planning, evaluating, assessing risk, managing interdepartmental, cross-divisional and external resources, managing budgets and pre-determined timelines, and ensuring all required activities are identified and executed in a timely, efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective manner.

How You'll Do It
Manages enterprise level projects from conceptualization and initiation to closure. Accountable for successful, defect free, on-time, and on-budget delivery of assigned projects. Works with project sponsor(s) and stakeholders to define and/or document project objectives, scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, work structures, development budgets and timelines. Develops, manages, and maintains overall project plans and schedules. Understands both business expectations and technology capabilities. Effectively manages project scope by ensuring any changes are documented, assessed, and effectively integrated into the project.
Assembles and leads teams. Works with line managers to obtain resources. Provides leadership, and direction for project team members. Distributes work, motivates, coaches, enforces policies, and monitors project team members. Establishes team roles and responsibilities and clearly communicates expectations to team members and stakeholders. Acts as a mediator between sponsors /stakeholders and project team members. Determines if external consultants or contractors will be required to complete the project plan. Obtains approvals and manages external resources as an integral part of the project team.
Continuously tracks project deliverables and effectively communicates status, risks, problems, recommendations, and resolutions to senior management team and all stakeholders. Resolves any issues and solves problems throughout the project life cycle.
Determines how results will be measured and evaluates project performance, outcomes, and efficiencies. Assesses and communicates results and lessons learned.
Ensures compliance with company project management processes and pod and eventually archived following project completion.

Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics
High school diploma or GED
4+ years of experience in project management

Bonus Points If You Have
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, science, math, finance, or related field
In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in project management
