The Department of Business Administration in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware invites applications for a tenure-track position in Management, with a focus on strategic management, starting August 16, 2023.

Candidates must possess a Ph.D in Management and pursue a high-quality research program with the objective of publishing in such top-tier management journals asAcademy of Management Annals,Academy of Management Journal,Academy of Management Review,Administrative Science Quarterly,Journal of Management,Journal of Management Studies, andStrategic Management Journal. Research support in the department is excellent, including a one-semester, third-year research sabbatical; a large, computerized behavioral lab; a departmental subject pool; the availability of research and teaching assistants; access to databases (e.g., WRDS); and opportunities to apply for research grants.

Candidates must also demonstrate potential for high-quality teaching. Primary teaching responsibility is in strategic management and corporate strategy, at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. The teaching load will initially be three courses per year, and junior faculty are given minimal service requirements.

The Lerner College supports full-time, part-time, and online MBA programs in addition to MS programs in functional business areas and non-degree executive education programs. The Department of Business Administration is housed within the Lerner College and consists of five academic areas: Entrepreneurship, International Business, Marketing, Management, and Operations Management. Salary, benefits, teaching load, and research support are highly competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates who currently hold tenure-track appointments at the Assistant Professor level are strongly encouraged to apply. Such candidates should have a record of publishing in top management journals at rank and evidence of highly effective teaching in graduate and/or undergraduate courses.
