About this role
As an Associate within BlackRock’s Global Total Rewards Operations function, the position is a lead role for America Benefits operations and will work with a team of HR professionals in a fast paced and dynamic work environment. The role will be responsible for providing operational delivery of financial, health & life benefits programs as well as other life management benefits.
In addition, this role will liaise with other team members, as needed, within the Global Total Rewards Operations with all aspects of total rewards (compensation, benefits talent mobility and tax) operations. There will be growth and learning opportunities within other areas of total rewards and broader HR operations.
Key responsibilities include:
+ A great opportunity for mid-level candidates to expand & stabilize Global Benefits Operations function within HR Platform & Infrastructure team.
+ Partner with and across while developing and understanding of internal HR teams, e.g., Payroll, Rewards, Recruiting, Talent Development and HR Business Partners. Connect dots and understand the interdependencies b/w various HR functions.
+ Be responsible for operational support for the delivery of BlackRock’s global benefits programs (financial and personal wellness and work/life initiatives)
+ Liaise with other HR partners and teams to get sophisticated employee queries resolved
+ Actively support benefits contract renewals in partnership with benefits provider and Global Benefits teams
+ Invoice processing for all vendors including tracking of payments and outstanding invoices
+ Analytics support for creating and reviewing monthly exception reports and undertaking detailed review of reports and resolving with the relevant partners
+ Periodic reconciliations of benefits funding, headcount & corporate deposits
+ Providing payroll inputs to the payroll team for any benefits related instructions
+ Build deep understanding of the global benefits and be able to act as competent back -up
+ Vendor management and addressing ongoing operation queries with vendors
+ Constantly identify & drive process improvement and standardization opportunities
+ Holds self and others accountable for delivering results that have a clear, positive impact on business performance and our clients
+ Challenges the status quo to deliver solutions that improve performance and the clients’ experience
+ Leverages subject matter expertise to generate insights and business solutions
+ Actively considers risk management and continually finds opportunities to improve processes to reduce risk
+ Conduct periodic audits and reconciliations of processes, build/ follow proper controls to mitigate risk
+ Continuously identify and drive process improvement and standardization opportunities to provide an exceptional employee experience, identify areas for automation and reduction of risk
+ Balance day to day responsibilities with key project work and professional development opportunities
+ Connect with peers (within team and across regions) to share best practices, ideas and solutions
+ Invest in building an impactful team, understand their career aspirations and development opportunities
+ Leads project on other initiatives such as vendor optimization, HR Operational Excellence and intranet updates
+ Provide peer review support and back up for other team members
+ Develop and maintain process documentation
+ Provide support on ad hoc projects
Knowledge/ Experience required:
+ More than 5 years of proven experience in global benefits programs and operations
+ Team Management experience across different cultures/time zones
+ Must be open to work in flexible hours
+ Broad knowledge of HR concepts, processes, and their interdependencies
+ Financial services and/or investment banking proven experience is preferable
+ Capable of grasping new concepts quickly and applying it in a productive manner
+ A high level of attention to detail
+ Organized and process oriented
+ Ability to work independently, solution-oriented
+ Ability to lead and collaborate with a remote team
+ Desire and ability to provide outstanding service to internal clients
+ Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage and control their own priorities to meet deadlines
+ Ability to identify, analyse and develop improvements to processes and/or procedures
+ Discretion in dealing with confidential information

Our hybrid work model
