Our Animal Health team offers veterinarians, farmers, pet owners and governments one of the widest range of veterinary pharmaceuticals, vaccines and health management solutions and services. The Millsboro, DE Animal Health facility is located in Sussex County, DE, within the Salisbury, MD-DE Metropolitan Area.

Millsboro is situated at the first point on the Indian River and is conveniently located 20 minutes from the beautiful Delaware beaches and 40 minutes from Ocean City, MD. Millsboro is rich in culture and is home to the Nanticoke Indian Tribe. Free concerts in the park, the outdoor farmer’s markets, dining at the many restaurants, antique and vintage shopping and boating are just some of the many ways people enjoy life in this quaint river town.

We are seeking a Growth and Improvement minded Senior Laboratory Operations Technician that can help drive our Strategic Operating Priorities.

Summary, Focus and Purpose

Starting on day one, we will provide you the necessary training the Senior Laboratory Operations Technician will need to follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies while completing advanced laboratory services in various manufacturing areas. Throughout your career, we will offer you continued development through training classes, workshops, meetings, etc., to improve job skills and product-related procedures.

Key Functions

+ Work Independently and as a Team member with Integrity | Precision | Accomplishment | Motivational Ambition | Respect | Inclusion

+ Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures and adhering to all safety and company policies, perform duties assigned by department supervision

+ Provide general oversight to the material handlers

+ Stock general supplies in general areas

+ Manage Kanban

+ Complete 5S daily

+ Transfer/deliver raw materials to the production department

+ Assist in washing, prepping, and sterilizing equipment

+ Cleaning work area including tables, walls, and floors

+ Assist in the operation of the parts washer, operation of the autoclaves and operation of the waste decontamination autoclave

+ Concurrent record keeping including logbooks and all pertinent documentation

+ Demonstrate at all times, safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment. Understands and complies with all safety and company policies and procedures

+ Assist in training new team members

+ Report all unusual, non-routine occurrences when performing tasks

+ Assist with performing non-aseptic procedures, reviewing SOP’s and reviewing and signing off on all paperwork

+ Aid in planning and implementing daily or weekly laboratory assignments as well as special projects and other tasks

+ Attend training classes, workshops, meetings, etc., as required to improve job skills and product-related procedures

Assistance for Direction of Others

+ Accountability as a team leader

+ Facilitator to resolve conflicts within a team

+ Ensuring written procedures are being followed, safety of team members and facility and equipment are properly maintained

+ Participating in special projects as assigned


+ High School diploma/GED with two years of laboratory or production experience

+ OR Associate degree in Science or Engineering with one year laboratory or production experience

+ OR Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering


+ Able to read, write and comprehend technical information and to effectively impart information to colleagues at various levels

+ Ability to operate manufacturing equipment with training

+ Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

+ Knowledge of reading, mathematics and computer skills

+ Communicate and work in cooperation with other employees in a manufacturing environment

+ Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test


+ Experience in Aseptic clean room behaviors

Working Conditions

+ Varying hours based on the needs of the business

+ May require a rotating shift

+ Flexibility working overtime is a requirement in manufacturing
