Job Summary
Manages all aspects of Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) and Engineering Services for Electrical switchyards and substations with Transmission/Distribution and Industrial/Commerical Clients. Experience in the T&D industry and utility/customer substation project execution/delivery, including risk to cost, schedule, and quality are critical with successful candidates. ?Responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Manages and leads teams of multi-discipline professionals. Coordinates and integrates the activities associated with the proposal, engineering, procurement, permitting, construction, and startup elements of the project team, including the activities of all third party companies contributing to the initiative.?
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:??Professional must be willing to travel up to?10 – 15% of the time as needed.
Gas Insulated Systems experience highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
+ Partner with relevant team members across multiple time-zones to create winning proposals and deliver strong project execution
+ Manage a team of multi-discipline engineers to deliver detailed design projects from schematic design through construction
+ Work collaboratively with the company’s resources to define the approach and strategy for achieving client requirements
+ Effectively negotiate with multiple levels of executive management within client’s organizations
+ Communicate the status of opportunities, clearly articulate next steps and discuss potential risks with the wider sales and account management team
+ Understand B&V functional organizations and interfaces.
+ Develop and maintains the Project Execution Plan
+ Responsible for developing and maintaining the project staffing plan
+ Responsible for project financial forecasting
+ Responsible for preparing and presenting monthly project reviews to management
+ Develops and maintains the project Change Management Program

Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Prefer four-year bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
+ 5+ years of relevant experience
+ Substation Design and Construction Experience
+ Team Player
+ Strong knowledge and understanding of substation industry; knowledge of industry business drivers and motivators
+ Excellent communications/human relations skills (written, verbal, client service); ability to maintain key client relationships
+ Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing client invoicing, internal costs, external costs, change management, and overall project profitability
+ Ability to develop and maintain a detailed project schedules
+ Ability to think quickly and anticipate questions when interfacing with clients
+ Ability to take initiative, support strategic priorities, take ownership of assigned projects and independently drive for results
+ Exhibits high ethical standards in business and in work; maintains a reputation of integrity among clients
