Job Summary (Primary function)
The Director, RPA is a member of the IT leadership team and is responsible for providing management and leadership for intelligent and robotic process automation initiatives across Incyte. The role partners with teams both domestic and global to successfully design, develop and deliver large-scale RPA implementations and support in accordance with RPA best practices. The position plays a critical leadership and partnership role in developing, executing, and governing the technology strategy for Incyte's global RPA platform. The Director, RPA collaborates with IT Business Partners supporting Finance and Technical Operations, IT Infrastructure and Operations, and IT Security to deliver appropriate RPA solutions.
The Director, RPA is accountable for driving widespread adoption and deployment of Robotic Process Automation across the global organization. Additionally, this role is responsible for considering broader Intelligent Process Automation opportunities where they will support the value proposition of enabling speed, scale, and productivity.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
Accountable for entire Incyte RPA activity
Lead Incyte RPA CoE
Enable pipeline creation and assessing suitability
Engage relevant stakeholders and align opportunities to the organizational value proposition
Design and execute education, training and communication programs as appropriate
Lead delivery and production support teams
Manage vendors, partners and assure a favorable total cost of ownership
Manage the capability transparently through metrics and outcome management and use that information to drive continuous improvement
Support citizen development efforts
Identify, screen, and evaluate new solution opportunities to address unmet internal and external customer needs
Manage a team of direct reports, including management of vendor development of staff
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in strategic and budgetary planning processes
Provide recommendations on desired policies and goals; implement new/reviewed programs according to established guidelines
Ensure the various teams are collaborating across the enterprise, across various groups, and build a high-performance environment.
Manage operating expense and capital expenditures within budgetary constraints
Encourage a culture of compliance and collaboration
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
Bachelor degree or higher (MBA preferred)
10 years leadership experience
10 years application development management experience
Demonstrated success leading RPA/IPA capabilities indicated by business adoption and value delivered
5 years Intelligent Process Automation experience
UiPath experience highly preferred
Process excellence experience preferred (e.g. lean six sigma)
Must have a strong financial acumen to prepare and manage project and portfolio business cases
Experience in Life Sciences highly preferred
Strategic Planning: Ability to define the problem/issue and objectives, create business solutions and roadmaps
Ability to understand customer needs, negotiate complex issues and total value offerings to customers, suppliers/partners
History of operational execution excellence and performance driven
Ability to manage on-shore, off-shore and/or 3rd party development/support teams
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including a variety of business and technical audiences
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
Experience in managing relationships across multiple cultures and geographies
