A technical leadership role that provides direction to liquefied natural gas (LNG) project teams. The LNG Specialist focuses on front end work ranging from feasibility, technology assessment, and conceptual studies. Working on the track to become a technical expert. Under the guidance of the LNG Solutions Leader, applies engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods. With a base in process engineering, expands knowledge and skill set in the LNG market and project execution methods.
The process engineers in the gas processing group support projects for LNG, Gasification, Carbon Capture, Hydrogen, Fertilizers (Ammonia, Urea, etc.), Fermentation, Sulfur Recovery, Gas Treating, and NGL recovery and Fractionation. Previous experience in those areas is desirable and the candidate can have the opportunity to work in those areas if desired.
Leads Process Engineering evaluations for LNG and related facilities
+ The LNG Specialist will be involved during early pursuit, proposal, and study phases of projects, but will have less involvement as projects progress to detailed design.
+ Maintain contacts with major OEMs and suppliers in support of multiple project pursuits.
+ Industry-facing through development of papers, presentations, and articles to advance B&V technology and execution capabilities.
+ Supports multiple proposals/projects concurrently.
Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology:
+ Recognized as a technical specialist by the division having in-depth knowledge of LNG.
+ Support Business Development in the pursuit of new opportunities.
+ Assist with identification of key client interests and drivers.
+ Communicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work.
+ Provide support to business development or pursuit activities.
+ Experience in design and operations of process technology with focus in LNG – gas treating, refrigeration, heat transfer, compression, storage, utilities, hazard identification.
+ Working knowledge of PRO II, Promax, Protreat, HYSYS and similar process simulation packages
+ Advanced Knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to process engineering design.
+ Written Communications, Drive For Results, Decision Quality, Priority Setting, Planning, Delegation, Directing Others, Listening, Dealing with Ambiguity, Customer Focus, and Building Effective Teams.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred to have Professional Engineer registration or licensure, or willingness/ability to pursue such registration.
