Vendor Relationship Manager - Cash Processing, ATM Ops and Logistics
As a Vendor Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing the relationship and oversight between Capital One and multiple third-party providers (Cash and ATM) to ensure flawless operational performance and delivery. As a Vendor Relationship Manager, you will be asked to help establish a
framework for ensuring ongoing monitoring of operational performance to validate against both customer promise and well managed expectations. This role will require a full understanding of the technical processes and flow of information from the vendor to Capital One, as well as monitoring reports which details supplier performance, communication of performance to suppliers, development of performance remediation plans, as needed and managing vendor budget.
Additionally, you will have responsibility for understanding the objectives of various lines of business and then developing and managing your vendor to meet performance, cost, and risk goals. You will support the Inventory and
Control audit process and be responsible for assessing the criteria that drive an audit as well as improving the process steps that will be performed as part of the audit. Lastly, you will lead teams in the development of strategies, processes, or projects that will improve business performance and move toward our Bank Operations goal to Aspire for Error Free Operations.
Responsibilities of this role may include:
Accountability for the vendor's performance
Sharing our strategic vision with vendors and driving execution of critical business tasks
Partnering with teams of associates aimed at "Run-the-engine" activities and influencing /helping to shape a process improvement agenda
Being the point of escalation and understanding how to navigate the vendor and the vendor systems to get answers to problems quickly
Assessing and managing vendor performance, reporting, analysis and communications of supplier performance
Lead process design and analysis projects in concert with external vendors
Ensuring visibility and transparency to internal and external stakeholders on the health of
operations, including identification of critical needs/dependencies and risks
Building strong relationships with the vendor relationship managers as well as with the regional and site level management
Identifying trends that will have negative impact on operations and partner with vendor to proactively remediate
Participate in and support RFP Contract negotiations and define Cap One requirements to be included in SOW's
Membership in our Community of Auditors which may include site visits per our predefined schedule. Travel required as Capital One has 90+ vault throughout the United States
Travel is required to learn and understand the supplier's processes as well as to understand and resolve specific issues as necessary
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 2 years of experience in relationship management
At least 1 year of experience in people management
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or military experience
* Process certifications (i.e. LEAN, Six Sigma, Business Process Management)
* At least 5 years of experience in Process management
* At least 5 years of experience in Project management
* At least 5 years of experience in Relationship management
*At least 2 years of experience in Vendor Management
* At least 2 years of experience in ATM Operations
* At least 2 years of experience in Complex problem solving
* At least 2 years of experience in Banking
*At least 2 years of experience in Cash Vault
