Job Summary (Primary function)
The Assoc Dir, Human Resources will be responsible for providing human resource support to a specific client group within the organization. The Associate DIrector is a true generalist position that is responsible for all aspects of human resource management.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
Coordinates the recruiting, interviewing, and selection of candidates. Ensures compliance to EEOC requirements (e.g. requisition approval, sourcing, interviews, and offer).
Facilitates salary forecast/performance management process for client groups (merit increase, bonus and stock option recommendations; performance review submission/review/approval).
Effectively handles and resolves employee relations issues, and performance issues.
Act as source of feedback for managers with regard to trends of employee concerns/issues and provide recommendations.
Provide non-technical training as necessary or feasible (e.g. unlawful harassment, supervisor seminars, etc.).
Review and approve performance appraisals, job evaluations, educational assistance requests, and corrective/disciplinary action, ensuring consistency in administration.
Communicates, interprets, and implements HR policies as needed.
Will lead assigned human resource projects related to continuous improvement.
Complies with human resource legal mandates, such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and Title VII.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
Bachelor's Degree required, in Human Resources Management/Administration or related field preferred.
5 to 7 years of experience as a Human Resource Generalist in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry required.
Prior experience working with a mid-size, growing organization.
Must have experience in employee relations, recruiting, and compensation planning.
Able ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proactive in identification of issues.
Able to manage multiple priorities and ability to multi-task.
Ability to be flexible and nimble.
Able to manage projects and analyze data - make recommendations.
