Job Summary
The Sr. Research Investigator in the Incyte Antibody Discovery Group will support Incyte antibody drug discovery projects through automation, HTS assay development, protein (antigen and antibody) HT expression/purification, and characterization.
Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with molecular biologists and protein scientists to adapt benchtop molecular biology and protein expression/purification workflows to automated workflows through requirement gathering, scripting, and deployment of liquid handlers and integrated automation platforms

Carry out HT biochemical or cell-based assays in supporting antibody drug discovery projects, with activities involving library screening, hit validation to lead optimization

Express, purify and characterize pharmacologic relevant protein antigens as targets for antibody screening campaign

Manage and utilize both external and internal resources to achieve research goals

Act as a critical member for antibody drug discovery project teams and interact directly with molecular biologist, protein scientist, and pharmacologist

Responsible for bringing in novel technologies for antibody drug discovery, especially in the field of automation, HTS assays and antibody analytics
Minimum Requirements

Master or Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, molecular biology, biochemistry or related field, with 2 years (for Ph.D) to 5 years (for MS) of related experience. Industrial experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred.

Strong background in automation, assay development and protein science with experience in antibody drug discovery desired

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Self-driven, independent, creative with ability to support multiple programs simultaneously
