Job Description

ChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for our Dental and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Practice at the Wilmington Health Center.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday, day shift hours with occasional late day coverage

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
As a licensed professional healthcare provider, you will assume responsibility and accountability for the outpatient population and provide care using the nursing process in collaboration with other healthcare team members during their Dental and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery visit.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Care of preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative oral maxillofacial surgical patients and patients with special needs.
Administers medications in a safe and effective manner, including IV sedation for dental procedures.
Communicates and collaborates with healthcare team in a timely manner to provide a smooth, organized and efficient flow of patients.
Responds effectively to patient crisis situations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
Three years Physicians office experience or three years specialty experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
