Job Summary (Primary function)
The Sr. Manager, Global Compensation & HRIS provides compensation support to the global Human Resources team including offers, promotions, job evaluation and compensation policies/practices. Manages global annual compensation processes including performance management, merit, ICP and stock awards. This position also has oversight of assigned custom compensation HRIS modules including annual compensation tools, Bravo recognition program and headcount planning. Responsible for the preparation and distribution of monthly HR dashboards.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
* Manage annual global compensation processes including system configuration, testing, budgeting and communication materials (Comp Tool, P&E, Stock Tool, Performance Management).
* Provide compensation support to global HR team including guidance on offers, promotions, job evaluation, compensation policies/practices and other ad hoc requests.
* Manage headcount planning system including data maintenance and budget forecasts.
* Develop and present compensation training to global HR team as needed.
* Participate in the design and evaluation of new compensation programs/plans.
* Manage base salary program including salary range maintenance and merit budgeting.
* Create dashboards and analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations.
* Evaluate effectiveness and market competitiveness of current compensation programs.
* Evaluate new or updated positions to ensure consistent/appropriate grading.
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
* Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, with 7 - 10 years of Compensation experience required. Prior experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is preferred.
* Previous PeopleSoft HRIS experience preferred
* Project management skills
* Critical thinking skills and the ability to understand business needs, identify gaps.
* Ability to understand business needs, identify gaps.
* Able to quickly identify issues and make appropriate decisions to resolve them.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical content to non-technical people in a way that is relevant and understandable
* Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and focus on the most critical.
* Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
* Advanced MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
