The Unit

The Postpartum department at Christiana Hospital is 62 bed Postpartum unit. A couplet care model is employed to allow one nurse to care for 3-4 mother/baby couplets on most shifts.

The position requires the candidate to work 3 out of 4 weekends per schedule. All scheduled weekend shifts will be 12-hour shifts.

Education & Requirements:
Current RN License
BSN required; or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire.
At least two years of acute care or Med Surg nursing experience required.
Previous experience in Postpartum or Maternal/Child nursing preferred.
BLS required, NRP preferred or must be obtained upon hire.

The selected candidate may be eligible for a Sign-on Bonus to be paid over a period of 12 months.
