Job Description

Are you an expert Med Surg, Emergency Department or ambulatory RN seeking a role supporting your fellow caregivers? The Employee Health department with ChristianaCare is a growing Nurse run practice with a Director who is also a Nurse Practitioner. The Employee Health Services. We also serve as the injury clinic for ChristianaCare caregivers, serving 13,000 individuals across multiple campuses. Our Monthly visits range from 900-1200 encounters with peak volumes during Influenza vaccination periods.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team of innovative and caring caregivers. In this position you will assume responsibility and accountability for the care you provide to employees abiding to the protocol and guidelines set forth by ChristianaCare and the Delaware state board of nursing. This individual will work at the Christiana Hospital in Newark Monday through Friday from 7:30am-4pm; NO weekend or Holiday commitment.

Our Nurses perform their work activities to the highest standards:
Perform and document assessment of caregivers according to established standards. Assesses the need for referrals to other members in the health care team.
Perform pre-employment chart reviews for new caregivers and provide recommendations on eligibility status based upon established protocols.
Identify actual and potential problems for which the patient is at risk and report finding to EHS Nurse Practitioner.
Triage and respond to telephone messages under the direction of providers.
Triage walk-ins and scheduled caregivers for the clinic and ensure appropriate disposition.

Requirements: BSN required. At least three years of nursing experience in Med/Surg, Emergency Department or ambulatory setting required. Previous experience in Occupational Health preferred. Occupational Health certification preferred.
