Job Summary (Primary function)
The Compensation Specialist supports compensation administration through maintenance of data in the HRIS including job codes, job descriptions and organizational data as well as completion of global compensation survey submissions. This position supports equity administration activities including processing stock option exercises, RSU releases, stock awards and maintenance of employee demographic data in the stock recordkeeping system. This role provides backup support for SEC filings, 10b5-1 plan enrollment and Board of Directors compensation. The Compensation Specialist also supports HRIS activities including ad hoc queries, maintenance of master data and administration of the Applicant Tracking system.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
Compensation
* Create and maintain job codes, job descriptions and survey matches for all global positions.
* Complete evaluation of new positions to ensure classification in the appropriate salary grade level.
* Coordinates the annual global salary survey submission process by submitting company data to all relevant surveys.
* Provide external market data to the global HR team as requested.
Stock Administration
* Ensure data integrity of the equity recordkeeping system including new participants, demographics, terminations and set up of US and international tax rates.
* Support global stock plan administration activities including grants, RSU releases, stock option exercises and tracking of unsigned agreements as well as expiring stock option awards.
* Responsible for data uploads to stock recordkeeping system including US ESPP contributions period to date, year to date tax accumulators and qualifying/disqualifying dispositions.
* Provide backup support for SEC filings, exception processing, 10b5-1 plan enrollment, month end activities and Board of Directors compensation.
HRIS
* Maintain PeopleSoft master data including departments, locations, dotted line relationships and recruiting agencies.
* Process data corrections for employee job records, personal data and new hires as needed.
* Provide queries to meet data needs of the global HR team and other users, which may include scheduling of recurring queries.
* Maintain data in Applicant Tracking System including users, departments and agencies.
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
* Bachelor's Degree. 0-2 years of Human Resources, Finance or Accounting experience.
* Experience working with salary surveys, preferred.
* Knowledge and understanding of compensation principles particularly job evaluation and market pricing preferred.
* Knowledge of stock plans and principles preferred.
* Strong analytical/problem solving skills; written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
* System orientation with prior HRIS experience preferred.
* Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
