We are looking for a quality assurance technician to join our team in Newark, DE.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Inspect Incoming critical materials to ensure conformance with ATEX, ISO and other standards as well as evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability.
  • Work with Operations to maintain/improve production line efficiency, consistency, quality, and yields.
  • Analyze problems to determine root cause, and work with Operations to solve.
  • Process, analyze and determine root cause and actions for nonconforming material disposition and work with Operations to remediate.
  • Ensure that the quality and performance of our products meets our customer's expectations.
  • Precision inspection and measurement of mechanical and electrical components, using bills of material (bom), fabrication drawings and specifications. Must be able to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Final instrument inspection: Verify workmanship and documentation (including some data verification).
  • Record keeping on inspection results.
  • Write work instruction/procedures.
  • Create attributes lists.
  • Maintaining Quality Assurance files.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of quality assurance of mechanical and electrical parts.
  • High school education
  • Precision inspection, machine shop or instrument assembler experience (minimum 2 years).
  • Excellent people skills (dealing with internal and external suppliers).
  • Computer usage: Navision, Excel, MSWord
  • Lift large bulky items.
  • Adhere to all internal policies and procedures, ISO requirements, and ATEX(94/9/EC) requirements making suggestions for improvement where applicable.
  • Coordinate calibration of test and measurement equipment.
  • Process and disposition nonconforming material (including returns to suppliers).
  • Direct contact with suppliers required.
  • Occasionally other duties deemed necessary by business conditions.
