Responsibilities

The Product Owner/Agile Manager oversees the development of products (Guidehouse Engineered Solutions) from start to finish to ensure that they meet the needs and preferences of existing/prospective clients in key segments. The main duties include working with key segment leaders, sales and IT functions to establish a vision for the product/solution, and then manage the backlog items and assist in prioritization according to market need and client (internal) preferences. As part of their role on a product team, a successful Product Owner should fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:

+ Collaborating with internal clients and as necessary GTM partners to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product/solution requirements

+ Defining the vision for the team’s product/solution and mapping to other solutions and solution components

+ Creating a solution road map based on this vision

+ Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements

+ Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development

+ Developing user stories and creating artifacts that are useful within the sales process for both commercial and public sector clients

+ Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process

+ Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates

+ Leading Scrum meetings and product sprint s

Qualifications

Required:

+ Minimum 8 years of experience in Product Management including solution components as well as SaaS offerings

+ Experience with costing & P&L management to drive priority features and manage total cost of development/ownership

+ Agile Program Management techniques and the ability to run complex programs thru squads, chapters and other agile techniques

+ Strong business intersection skills with the requisite ability to drive to an agreed set of epics/stories in a given timeframe

+ Engineering Management skills – to understand the work, skills, and risks to improve confidence in sprint delivery

+ Strong client facing skills with the ability to represent Guidehouse capabilities, the value of our solutions and the ability to manage both known and in-flight risks.

+ Understanding of full-stack / CI-CD tools and how to use them to increase pace and visibility.

+ Bachelor’s degree in related field

Preferred:

+ PMP / Agile Certificate

+ Understanding of Azure and AWS cloud architectures

Additional Requirements

Preferred locations for this position are Tampa, FL; Chicago, IL or Washington DC metro area (Tysons, VA). This position is open to candidates virtually from Eastern and Central time zones.
