This position located in Newark, Delaware is responsible for performing research and development activities to complete science-based projects. This role will work with some supervision to design, plan and develop new methods and technologies for project advancement. Projects are focused on translational and developmental aspects blood and blood product modification.
Create, propose, and perform new research methodologies and technologies for advanced research and development activities.
Review, modify and improve existing research methodologies and technologies for advanced research and development activities.
Implementation of pre-agreed upon protocols repeatedly for product development purposes.
Perform required project-specific techniques, such as protein-based experiments, cell-based studied including flow cytometry, biochemical studies, immunological analyses, and/or molecular biology.
Collect data and ensure precision, accuracy and reproducibility of the data.
Systematic and accurate documentation of methods used and data acquired
Review and perform critical scientific analysis of research and development data, and develop experimental outcomes and conclusions.
Develop written presentation and publication of research data, figures, outcomes and conclusions.
Master's Degree in Biomedical Science or Biology or Chemistry or Engineering or equivalent field. PhD in Biomedical Science or Biology or Chemistry or Engineering or equivalent field (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience. Knowledge in product and/or clinical trial development preferred.
Knowledge of cGMP processes and requirements
Advanced knowledge of basic and complex scientific and laboratory techniques
Knowledge of computer programs including all Microsoft applications, Prism and biostatistics analyses.
Ability to perform highly complex research activities and perform advanced scientific techniques.
Ability to summarize the experimental outcomes (including writing reports) and plan future experiments.
