Job Description


Perform accounting functions for the university’s Facilities, Real Estate & Auxiliary Services (FREAS) organization, which is responsible for the maintenance and repair of 440+ buildings, as well as new construction. Duties include: work with the capital projects team and the budget office on capital project funding requests, and ensure monthly capital project cash flow of expenditures are maintained and are accurate; review 10-year capital plan for any discrepancies of capital project funding and expenditures; develop and implement more efficient processes by analyzing and conducting needs assessment for future enhancements and functional improvements; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual detailed and consolidated financial reports using the Qlik business intelligence platform; review and process monthly Facilities capital project invoices and serve as the point person for reconciliation of Capital Planning data and the Deferred Maintenance Reserves; perform accounting and reporting functions for the University’s Campus Mail department, and monthly administration and reconciliation of the University’s 300+ FedEx accounts; reconcile deficit balance report and provide direction on mitigating deficits; and maintain aspects of the Maximo, Works (card payment service), and PeopleSoft systems to ensure the capital projects business intelligence application is updated with current data.


Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and two years of related experience (or equivalent), including experience with PeopleSoft (General Ledger functions, reporting, and query generation), QlikSense and QlikView Business Intelligence software, and the Maximo work order management system.
