Delaware Tech’s CDL curriculum combines classroom study with practical
experience behind the wheel of diesel-powered tractor trailers on a private
training range as well as public streets and highways. You’ll also learn the
intricacies of handling a variety of truck types and cargo, conducting required
inspections, proper reporting and documentation requirements, and trip
planning techniques – all in a small class-size environment.
This certificate program is available in a structured environment of weekday
study. You’ll gain the knowledge and skills necessary to earn your CDL Class
A Driver’s License. Prerequisite: High school Diploma/GED; Driver’s License
for a minimum of 1 year; and must pass a drug screening and a DOT Physical.
