Job Description

Kforce has a client seeking a Tax Analyst in Newark, DE.Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing a number of reviews and reconciliations that need to be completed prior to year-end tax reporting (1099/1042-S)
  • Assist the team with addressing reconciliations and data remediation’s to ensure accurate tax reporting
  • Analyze client tax status for consistency and accuracy; liaise with appropriate team(s) and/or individual(s) to facilitate the required adjustments
  • Review and analyze client tax information across various systems (withholding status, Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 status, various FATCA related data points)
  • Review and analyze data integrity (client, security, and transactional)
  • Support the technology and operations projects from a tax perspective
  • Implementation and support of BAU processes and procedures for continuous information reporting and withholding compliance
  • Work on tax projects to improve current process and procedures, and lead tax related initiatives as required
  • Work with senior members of the Tax Data team on inquiries on client’s tax data and due diligence rules (Chapter 3, FATCA etc.)
  • Document and deliver information regarding due diligence rules for client identification, documentation, withholding and reporting
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, data, or related field
  • Knowledge of IRS requirements (i.e. Revenue code sections and Treasury regulations), with high-level understanding of information reporting (1042-S and 1099)
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentation) and influencing capabilities
