THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is a newly created position within Trade Compliance team for Dupont T&I business to lead the implementation and management for exports/import of products and technology in accordance with U.S. export control laws and regulations globally

Your key responsibilities:

+ Ensure that all products and related technology are properly classified in accordance with U.S. law and corporate processes. Perform and/or maintain a classification list of products and technology pursuant to the appropriate law (EAR, ITAR, etc.)

+ Ensure that all product exports from the U.S. are made in accordance with the DuPont corporate export process (S&L) as well as all U.S. export laws and regulations. Coordinate closely with ICR’s for product export compliance.

+ Ensure that all technology and deemed exports, including database access, are in accordance with corporate procedures.

+ Determine the need for export licenses for product and/or technology and work within Legal’s process to obtain prior to export, as well as ensure that all parties in the chain, from ICR to end user, are aware of and agree to license conditions.

+ Maintain, update and/or develop compliance procedures within operation of business functions including manufacturing.

+ Provide guidance on business projects abroad (capital projects, joint ventures, acquisitions, etc) that raise export control issues.

+ Follow corporate processes to ensure U.S. origin product and technology are not exported to denied entities and/or persons, and ensure the business in compliance with corporate trade policy on sensitive destinations.

+ Develop and administer global export controls training programs, consistent with corporate procedures, for effected personnel,

+ Ensure compliance with corporate record keeping program relevant to exports.

+ Coordinate with DuPont Legal, Corporate, HR and other DuPont businesses/entities to ensure a consistent approach to complying with the DuPont Export Compliance Policy

Qualifications

Your qualification profile:

+ Capable of understanding the businesses’ products and related basic technology, their properties and market applications.

+ Ability to read and interpret regulations.

+ Ability to interact with, organize or lead multi-functional teams and effectively function in a multi-national environment. Legal, HR, S&L, Technical, Manufacturing, Marketing and Customer Service/Supply Chain functions will be impacted.

+ Ability to implement global training, consistent with corporate procedures.

+ BS degree in Engineering or Science required and advanced degree preferred.

+ 5+ years of industrial experience preferably including Technical and Operations.

+ Experience in understanding and complying with US laws and regulations required; experience in import or export regulations preferred.

+ Data-handling skills in SAP, GTS, and spreadsheets beneficial.

+ Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered for this role
