Title:Senior Analytical Chemist

Location:New Castle, DE

Responsibilities:

+ Conduct methods development, validation and transfer as needed using LC, Chiral LC, prep-LC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, potentiometric, spectrophotometric and thermal analytical techniques for raw materials, intermediates and APIs.

+ Prepare solvent mixtures for LC.

+ Prepare and load samples for testing (LCMS, GCMS and NMR).

+ Perform testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished APIs to determine identity and purity.

+ Conduct testing of stability samples on an as needed basis.

+ Perform instrument qualification and calibration activities as needed.

+ Review analytical data packages, determine data matches proposed structure and report results.

+ Author and review SOPs, test methods, protocols and technical reports.

+ Archive and maintain analytical data according to company policies.

+ Coordinate with other functional areas to advance projects in development.

+ Train new chemists on the use of analytical equipment.

+ Maintain and repair instruments and trouble shoot software issues.

Qualifications:

+ PhD in chemistry or a Master of Science in chemistry and 5 years of industry experience with a Pharmaceutical or Biotech Company

+ Analytical method development experience

+ Working knowledge of LC, GC
