Job Description

Senior Associate Actuary for MetLife Group, Inc. in Wilmington, DE to perform U.S. statutory asset adequacy testing. Provide modeling support to meet statutory reserve requirements and capital adequacy tests. Assist in maintaining, updating, testing and documenting asset liability models in MG-Alfa and Prophet. Communicate results to business partners and stakeholders. Requires: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mathematics, statistics or risk management and insurance (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus four (4) years of experience performing modeling, projections or risk management in the insurance or financial services industry. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section) – Must possess the following: using actuarial modeling software, including Prophet or MG-Alfa, to project financial statements under various insurance assumptions and economic scenarios; evaluating insurance products and investments to assess financial impact and risk to company; and providing financial metrics and analysis to help business partners and stakeholders make informed decision.
