Job Description

We are currently seeking a Regional Safety Supervisor to join our Utility Lines Construction Services, LLC Region 100 team. Construction safety experience with electrical utility experience preferred. Strong knowledge of the Construction OSHA standards, Distribution, Transmission and Substation required. Prior Journeyman Lineman and/or safety and training experience preferred.

Successful Candidate Will Possess:

+ Knowledge of all applicable federal and state safety laws and regulations, including OSHA.

+ Must have OSHA 30/ (less than 5 years old) OR OSHA 500 certificate, CPR/First Aid/AED certified Instructor, OR can obtain in 90 days.

+ Valid driver’s license with good driving record, ability to travel to job sites

+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, training, and organizational skills.

+ Effective troubleshooting and problem solving skills

+ Ability to audit entire job-site, including climbing ladders, working at heights or enclosed spaces and extreme temperatures.

Primary responsibilities include:

+ Compliance with the rules and regulations of federal, state, and local regulatory agencies; Compliance with ULCS and Customer safety policies and procedures

+ Conduct safety observations of job-site for recognition and correction of safety hazards

+ Assist all field employees and leadership with hazard analysis and safety corrective actions

+ Conduct accident, incident, and near miss investigations and reporting

+ Perform/manage field safety audits, interacting with client site safety personnel

+ Communicate to various groups, including forepersons, project managers, general contractors

+ 50 – 75% travel is required.

+ This position covers from the Southeast through the Northeast US.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.

+ Must have prior safety training experience.

+ Must have OSHA 30/ (less than 5 years old) OR OSHA 500 certificate, CPR/First Aid/AED certified Instructor, OR able to obtain within 90 days of employment.

+ Must possess a strong knowledge of the Construction OSHA standards, Substations, Transmission Lines.

+ Must be able to travel to all locations within the region as denoted in the job description.

+ Must have a valid driver’s license.

+ Must pass a background and/or MVR check.

+ Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Physical Requirements:

Rarely = less than 10%

Occasionally =up to 33%

Frequently = up to 66%

Continuously = 67% to 100%
