Bayhealth is currently seeking a Food Service Associate to work FULL-TIME (80 hours) in our Food and Nutritional Services Department at our Kent Campus in Dover, DE.

The Food Service Associate performs a variety of routine duties related to the preparation and serving of food to customers. Employees are expected to maintain high level of departmental sanitation including dishwashing, pot-washing, and cleaning according to policies and procedures. May be required to operate cash register and assist with catering services.

Minimum REQUIRED Qualifications:

REQUIRED Education:

+ High School Diploma/GED/equivalent certification required.

Experience:

+ MUST have experience cooking on a fast passed grill in a kitchen/restaurant

+ Must have some knowledge of food service operations.

+ Must have demonstrated work history.

+ Prior cash handling experience required for front of house retail operations only (not required for back of house operations).

+ Preferred: Prior food service experience in preparing or packaging food and/or serving food products, prior cash handling as well as a history of working with the public preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

+ Strong customer service skills, basic computer literacy, food safety training, HACCP training and proper hand washing skills.

+ Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Additional Information:

+ This position requires availability to work variable shifts between the hours of 6:30am and 7:30pm (day/evening shift), including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
