Senior Corporate Accountant

Summary Description

Maintains general ledgers and performs the complete accounting cycle in compliance with established practices and generally accepted accounting principles. Provides accounting and financial reporting guidance to support business, functional and corporate needs. Analyzes, classifies, and reviews complex accounting transactions and interrelationships. Prepares interpretation of accounting results and advises management. Identifies complex accounting problems, researches solutions, and corrects problem. Ensures internal controls are in place and operating effectively in accordance with company standards and government regulations.

Responsibilities

+ Operate monthly accounting close and consolidation processes for a $1 billion yearly revenue business unit.

+ Prepare account reconciliations in compliance with the global account reconciliation policy to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

+ Work with various accounting and reporting systems to accomplish tasks and organize data for effective presentation.

+ Report preparation in support of DuPont Tax annual reporting requirements

+ Provide continuous support to N&B business unit.

+ Lead & drive continuous improvement in consolidation process.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting – required

+ 4+ year progressive experience in a large corporate environment – required

+ Position requires strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task and proficiency is the use of systems, including Microsoft suite of applications and SAP

+ Candidate must be self-managed and self-motivated as well as have the ability to organize time and efforts to meet deadlines

+ Excellent communication skills and results oriented
