Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the facility to meet state regulations. Responds to requests for spot cleaning areas to ensure personal safety of staff and patients. The individual will need to complete position responsibilities by following established guidelines and protocols within the appropriate time frame and must be flexible with his/her work schedule.
Clinical / Technical Skills (40% of performance review)
Performs routine cleaning of hospital areas, to include, but are not limited to: patient rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways
Washes windows, walls, floors, beds, furniture upon patient discharge.
Applies clean linen on disinfected patient bed.
Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
Uses and maintains equipment properly.
Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
Reports any furniture, fixtures, building, equipment repairs required to supervisor.
Follows all infection prevention and control practices, including handwashing techniques, standard precautions and isolation precautions.
Maintains set quality standard when performing job duties.
Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
