Job Description

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. Responsibilities: Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Identify re-usable database components and develop recommendations Take complete ownership of deliveries, engage and co-ordinate with stakeholders to meet business needs, co-ordinate database functional changes in accordance to project requirements Peer review DB code from other developers, Troubleshoot Production issues and perform root cause analysis Qualifications: 12+ years of experience in Oracle Database development and performance tuning Self-motivated, innovator, Good at troubleshooting and resolving database/application issues, Team Player Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements Knowledge of Waterfall/Agile methodologies, Scrum, Sprint, burn down, scoping/time estimation, configuration management/GIT, Code Reviews Experience in managing and implementing successful projects Demonstrated leadership and project management skills Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Very good understanding in Oracle architecture Extensively worked on PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, MViews, External tables, partitions and Exception handling for retrieving, manipulating, checking and migrating complex data sets in Oracle Experience with database partitioning in range, list, reference, interval, hash with compression Experience in code and data migration activities/project, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle Oracle job scheduler, Tablespace Data Encryption (TDE), column level encryption, AWR/ADDM/ASH reports, Indexes – B-tree/Function based/Partitioned/Bitmap Tools: SQL Developer, SQL *Plus, Toad, Erwin, RMAN, Datapump, Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control Tool Other: JavaDB, PL/SQL unit testing, database design and logical and physical modelling Should have strong Performance tuning, Query Optimization and troubleshooting experience Must have experience in advance PL/SQL, Hints, Cursors to process huge volumes of data, bulk collect for performance improvement process Must have experience in Data Modeling and Archiving/Warehousing concepts such as Star Schema, OLAP, OLTP, Snowflake schema Must have very good understanding of Snapshot tables, staging tables, History tables, Audit tables, Surrogate Keys, Generalization and Normalization of data, etc. Highly proficient in writing complex yet efficient SQL Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Information Science or equivalent experience Master’s degree preferred Oracle Database Certifications preferred: Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional, OCP, OCM, OCE: Performance management and Tuning This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
