Basic Function of the Job:
Performs routine inspections, as well as higher level tasks such as WI’s and SOP procedure development. Troubleshoots problems with production using statistical tools and recommends corrective action. Reviews and develops final inspection protocols to ensure product conformance to customer specifications. Programs coordinate measuring machines to perform product dimensional inspections. Coordinates the quality related activities for the raw materials used in the company’s manufacturing processes (i.e. internal testing and approval for production use.) Trains and provides guidance to final inspectors. Reviews product conformance to customer specifications and generates certificate of conformance and final inspection reports to accompany product shipments. Foster and Improve the quality management system through auditing, corrective action, preventive action and training. Special projects as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Engineering or related technical field
+ Minimum 2 years’ experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment
+ Experience with problem analysis and resolution
+ CMM programming experience in both Calypso and PCDMIS required.
+ Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis using key quality tools such as SPC and FMEA
+ Minitab experience with ability conduct process capability analysis
+ Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
+ Ability to recommend and implement improvements
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
+ Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, Access, Excel, Graphics, Minitab, ERP systems)
+ CQE (Preferred)
+ Six Sigma Green Belt (Preferred)
+ Lean manufacturing (Preferred)
+ Knowledge and capability to use and program CMM
+ Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities
+ Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment
+ Handle special assignments promptly and professionally
+ Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency
